Probably one of my favorite spots. Been 3 times and turned away once. It is past its prime though as it has been cleaned up. Here are my favorite shots from the 2 successful trips in 2011 and 2014:

I'm glad I got to see the place before it was trashed. The caretaker was very cool and let people photograph the place as long as you asked. Someone went a couple of months ago and the lab was trashed and all the cool old equipment gone. Senseless. You did a great job capturing the place.

Edit: stupid autocorrect

Thanks. Yeah, the first time I went it was in pretty good shape. I have more shots on my Flickr. The second trip it was more or less in the same condition, but people had moved stuff around. The last time I tried we got turned away.

That sucks. I had been told that if you asked often times they would let you look around. When I went I did not know that so I dashed in and out. Had been planning to revisit soon and get permission so I could look around more thoroughly. Will still try, the worst they can say is no, and there are a couple of other spots nearby that I want to look at...

I hate that I missed this place prior to being cleaned out.

Compared to your first image:

When I return I'll look for the cat remains and see what's left. lol

Really Enjoyed your photos of this old lab texano. One of my favorite explores also. Hope you don't mind a few more added to your collection I hate that this place has been cleaned out. I loved looking at all those old bottles. I heard that they donated the lab bottles and equipment to a school or college. So at least they went to a good cause and were not all broken and thrown in the trash.

I really liked this set. Especially that one of the old computer sitting there. I was trying to figure out what kind it was, but I couldn't tell.

It is a HP-9830A. I came across an Apple II at another location.

Rather than hijack your thread with my own stuff, I'll just link a post to when I was there:

By stating the above Misunderstood I didn't mean to imply that you had done so!

Thanks So Much Texano. I thought i would be cool if everyone that has been here would chime in and post a few of their shots as an appreciation thread. Ive seen this done in the NEast when many explorers have hit the same location and its just Amazingly cool to see what each person took away from their time there.

I really hope not PU. I think texano's pics stand own their own merit as well as yours, hopefully mine. There have been a lot of the Texas crowd that have been here and took different shots at different times and they ALL are Awesome glimpses into this location. I certainly would never want to offend someone or jack with their thread. There are certain locales that we all appreciate and feel proud that we got see. I know, Astro, Tiffers, IndoA. and NMatt. have some splendid shots from here... What a cool data-base collection it would make too!

Nice! The Apple II stuff is starting to become collectible. Don't know much about the HP though, still very cool!
