This place was one of those where I kind of just stumbled across it when I was out driving one day. It was an awesome find and a really good experience.

This place has a lot of stories about it. There's a rumor that it closed after one of the patients escaped and was found dead in a nearby pond a few days later. I have also heard that it is haunted. It is rumored that you should stay away from "the bid room" in the back because that's where all of the "bad patients" were kept. The rumor is that a patient was held there and used for experimentation and his ghost is still there seeking revenge. Supposedly if you see the ghost you'll die three days later. As far as it being haunted I don't necessarily believe it. My friend claimed that she felt something grab her arm, which she thought was me at first but upon finding out it wasn't she wanted to leave immediately, which was strange behavior from her. I will say that this place did leave off a creepy atmosphere. The doors in the back were at least a foot thick and they were made of metal, and the barbed wire fence surrounding the property was leaning inward (meaning they were used for the purpose of keeping people in, not for keeping people out).

Everything was still in the building. One of the creepiest things were all of the files that were just left scattered all over the ground. You could pick up a file and read about a patient, the medicine they were taking, and even their strange symptoms. Some of them were very creepy and consisted of explaining a lot of the actions of some of the patients with PTSD and so on. There were also pictures all over the ground, and even some of the medications that would have been put into an IV could be found there too.

I know the picture quality is bad, there is a house nearby and I didn't want to risk anybody seeing a flash. Also, the air quality was extremely hard to breathe in if you don't have a respirator (as you can see in some of the photos).

At the end of this hallway was the door to the basement which we unfortunately couldn't get to due to flooding. The water was up to the top steps. Inside the door to the left was a chapel like room which was a little creepy. There were pews in it facing a small closet like room.

This piano still worked. It was in the back of the building in the room next to the cafeteria.

Another creepy thing were the stuffed animals. In every single room there was at least one stuffed animal hanging from a string next to the bed area.

This was the hallway leading back to "the big room". To get here, we had to jump across broken floor boards and grab onto the door handle so we wouldn't fall backwards and down into the flooded basement.

Good photos for a stealthy night trip. The floor looks pretty good in all of these, but I guess it wasn't if you were jumping across a broken section.

And that's probably the worst Illuminati triangle I've ever seen, haha.

Thanks. The floor was decent in most of the building except when we made our way to the back part of the building. There was a big area that had rotted away because of the flooding in the basement.

The graffiti was definitely nothing special. Probably a bunch of dumb kids messing around.
