Hey there, more finds from out west in the rare time I have as I bumble through adulthood and full time employment. I will likely never stop adjusting to the change this is compared to my home of New England, for one thing there are so few buildings and such sparse history out here unless you're in for a day of driving or serious project.
As a result of the reduced subject matter I've pushed myself to be more artistic with shooting, quality over quantity as they say. Here are my findings as of late including a house on a truck and former sugar mill with plans for demolition...
Hovering Home by

When Walmart was built the home was moved but the owners never paid the truck driver so now it just sits in place. The truck, home, and land are all at odds to make one another useless.

Bunker Down by

The obscure hangar-like structure is sealed tight but a glance through the window shows a once functioning home even with a kitchen sink and cupboards.
Opposing Values by

Two separate sections of the hovering home, the white door once lead to the basement but with the house on a truck now leads to a five foot drop.

You Will Be Shot by

This building was very serious business, it also has 360 degrees of motion sensor lights and is surrounded by an active construction company and its workers.

You'll see in a future shot that these machines have been heavily tagged and vandalized, fortunately I've become very skilled and patient with cloning in Photoshop over the years and was able to restore them to glory. I always wonder, did the workers paint them this way for morale prior to abandonment or was this the work of explorers like you and I?

Vines and bramble seal the door over decades.
Elephant In The Room by

About four floors up you can view these large furnaces through a massive missing wall, they reach from the basement to a floor so high it no longer has walls.

Skeletons In The Closet by

A dark locker room seemed uninteresting until the shadows had been embraced as a frightening narrative.
Bad Habits by

Specifically this is lime dust which can burn skin, eyes, and lungs especially if wet or inhaled. This day was cold and wet and I remained largely still, furthermore the type used here is intended to purify the sugar extracted from beets and has a low toxicity.

It seems the canister that held this lime was ruptured by an exterior brick wall that collapsed in onto it, I would not have wanted to be present on that day.
Claustrophobia by

The elevator shaft door slammed in the wind and kept me looking over my shoulder. That day was so windy that pieces of the ceiling fell, one even hit metal and sparked in front of me leading me to think I was under some type of attack by a hobo with matches.
