Nothing grabs these guys attention better than an industrial site From the exterior and the stairs i would swear this was a school. Nice how it fools a person. Good job on these Johnna!

Yes Sheavy, Ive covered just everything that interest me in this area.... the Power House was last and I have badjon to thank for getting me inside there.. I stood outside the fence daydreaming for ages..
I would like another visit inside... I'm still learning how to take pictures!

Oh how I LOVE this building!! Can't believe that you actually made it inside though! I thought the security was pretty tight here...? If you live in this area, I'd love to get together sometime to explore together!

I wonder when they built this power house if they tried to blend it with schools and other cool buildings in the vicinity.
Really love how it looks. Thanks for the extra exteriors.

It was built in 1909 and was the central power plant for a navy yard.... it looks nothing like the surrounding buildings and in my opinion, is the most beautiful building on the Navy Yard.
I honestly have to thank badjon for getting me inside......

badjon I never know if you are teasing.....what ladder shots..are you talking about the little footstools we used to get over the fence when we almost impaled ourselves
or maybe the ladder to the roof that I wouldn't climb because I was skeerd?
If I get in again Im going up all those ladders...
