I just finished uploading the first batch of all my (non-sensitive) military history reference electronic documents to
my public area on Dropbox. Some are old installation layout maps less than 1MB, some are scans
of old publications like the USAAF Airfield Directory, some are modern historical reports up to a couple hundred MB.

My suggestion is that if you're interested in old US military sites & systems & have a broadband internet connection, you
just download ALL the files soon, then sort/save/delete them at your leisure. They're occupying all of my Dropbox 'cloud' space, so I will probably delete them from my Dropbox account within a week or two, so I can then upload many more for you.

A few of these materials are hard copies that I've scanned, many are files that I've received from my many fellow military site 'archaeologist'
friends over the past 25 years. Some you can already find from various online sources, but many were scanned directly at
NARA & are otherwise hard to find, but all should be public domain.

If you don't already a have Dropbox 'cloud' of your own & want to get a free one like I'm using, just go to this link: https://db.tt/GBhIsixTSq & create your account. By doing so, I get a little more free memory space, so I can upload more files for you...

Is there any way to compress the files further? I can't direct download them all in one zip file because it returns the message "The zip file is too large," but it's a hassle to individually download several dozen PDFs.

I had no idea DropBox would do that to downloaders -- I thought you could bulk download each individual file, seems kinda dumb on their part that we can't.

However, it took me long enough to upload them, so sorry but no, I don't have any intention (or knowledge) to go thru more efforts with them other than to delete them & replace them with more files in the future, so it's up to the you to take the time to download the ones you want...

If you have your own dropbox account, you could mass-save the files to your personal account, and then copy them over that way, no compression or zips needed.

And thanks! =D

But if you are going artsy, then you're going all the way. Someone's cutting off an ear!

Thanks! I had to create a new Dropbox account, but it'll be worth it once I sort through all of these documents. I think I can speak for all of us when I say we really appreciate the effort you obviously went through to compile of of these.

Thank you!

Remember, this is just the first batch... I've got a lot more!

I have a Microsoft One Drive 'cloud' account now too (only 5Gigs space). I wonder if I should upload the second batch of documents there, and if they'd be easier to download in-bulk?
