Navigating UER from a mobile device...

*First of all, I'm not sure what category this particular post would fall under, so hopefully I'm in the right forum. If not, please move this post to its appropriate home.*

So basically, I'm one of those people that uses my mobile device and/or my iPad way more often than my computer. This includes my browsing and navigating as much as I can on this site, but it's options for mobile users are pretty limited. That said, I am not the most computer savvy person in the world either.

Here's my main question: Does anyone know how to post photos on here from an iPhone and into an actual post?

I'm not sure how to resize the photos for under 100kb, and pulling them off Flickr is impossible due to the link code getting cut off with no "select all" option. Although I'm guessing there's an app that could overcome this problem, I just don't know what it is ...
The DB galleries will let me post photos, but I've never had any luck in the actual threads. Since I'm on my mobile so much, this is why I rarely start threads in the forums - especially ones with photos!

Any iPhone users out there with suggestions on overcoming this site's inherent unfriendliness toward mobile devices? I don't know if there are too many others that find themselves having to overcome some of the same challenges and operate mostly from a mobile device, but I doubt I'm the only one..!

(All I want for Christmas is a UER iOS app...!)

I'm in the same boat but I've just gotten in the habit of using the computer to post photos. If you have a macbook and iPhone it's relatively painless with airdropping the url and the photos but I'm not sure about pc's.

But for what it's worth,I'm on my phone and just downloaded "Minima" from the App Store to post that photo the normal way. It did its job scaling down the photo but you have to pay to have the ugly watermark removed.

Fingers crossed for an app. Or make it available on tapatalk if that's possible 🤷🏼‍♂️

Cool! I'll check out that "minima" app. I've never heard of that one. Out of the hundreds, maybe thousands, of apps I have, I'm sure I have one somewhere that would let me post photos or properly copy a photo url, but I don't have the patience to dig through them all to find one.
I'm checking that one out in the app store now. Thanks!

I'm Android.
It's all I use now on UER.
I use the Reduce Photo Size app, relatively easy to use. Don't have any real issues that I haven't been able to work out.
The site runs nicely on mobile.
Can't use Chat though because there's no Flash support; a hidden blessing

Try Googling your Qs... that works for me most of the times. Your search words/phrases are important; brevity and concise word use works best.

I'm pretty good with Google search, I've even made a couple of those custom search engines (very cool and y'all should try it if y'all haven't yet, btw). Too much research in college forces you to learn how to do a decent search! I'm guilty of being too lazy at times, however, and find that it's easier to let someone else do the work and then ask them how they did it.

Okay, I found a site that did the sizing quite nicely - even in batches if I wanted - but then I ran into this incredibly irritating issue I had forgotten about on here, where it only uploads the little thumbnails you have to click on (which I hate).
What about a way to pull the BB code off of Flickr on a mobile? This sounds so easy, yet, I've run into the stupidest problem where I can't see the whole code to highlight it all (no, "select all," option either).
I'm probably missing something that's painfully simple here.

Emperor Wang was kind enough to tell me how to solve this problem in another thread:

Hah hah!

If you want your image to appear inline, after uploading it change "pic=" to "inp=". Use the "Spellcheck and Preview" button to confirm your format before posting.

I didn't have a lot of luck in the iOS app store, but there are a lot of websites that will do the job of resizing your photo(s). Just google, "Photo resize," and tons of them will pop up.

The whole process is kind of a pain in the ass, but it does work! Hope this helps someone else with a similar issue...

Cheers,
Dee
