I'm baaaaack - finally got off my ass for 2017 and got some pictures of a portion of an abandoned brassworks/industrial complex that I've been meaning to hit for a while.

What are you doing to make your primaries pop like this, are you removing color from shades in order to make the primary colors pop or are you using some sort of HDR? If this was a critique post I'd ask and say more.

Anyhow, cool place and good to see you out and about again.

Selective desaturation - the specifics depend on the effect I'm going for, but generally speaking I desaturate the colors I'm trying to de-emphasize and bump the saturation up a bit on the ones I want to enhance.

For some of them (like "Primary Colors") I use the brush adjustment tool in Lightroom to desaturate the parts of the image I don't want to have color - I chose that one because I wanted selective color on the graffiti, but not on the walls around it and other background stuff.
