Howdy

I haven't done a whole lot of exploring so no cool new spots to show off, but here's some 💩 rescaled iphone shots of the Chandler/Gila River airport as of august or september. I had read a little about it and was playing in the mud on the gas pipeline road next door and decided to check it out. Seems like many people run into trouble with the reservation police but I drove right up, took my time and no one showed.

I look forward to doing more and poking around more on the site.

Damn that's nice! I'm also a new member, but in the Denver area. I take it you didn't venture into any of those old airplanes? That DC-6 in #4 looks pretty enticing.

I thought about it, but I was by myself and thinking there would be some crackhead inside waiting to attack haha. But I live about 10 minutes away and go mudding there often so I'll be back.

There's actually a Lockheed Harpoon PV-2D sitting behind the hangar which is one of 35 built!

Wow, great photos man! I like that you dressed the part! I think I was left alone because I drove drove in from the desert rather than the road and left the same way.

Pretty awesome. Always wanted to go there, but I've now heard of 2 accounts of being rushed by police at that site

nice shots! I have several trips set up to Phoenix coming up this year, so I'm looking forward to hopefully getting out and seeing what the area has to offer.

Great spot! It would seem there isn't a whole lot left down there these days. There was a plan a few years back for a development there but looks like those plans fell through.
