While I know this is not a typical post for most here and many may find it grandly unimpressive, this location is quite near and dear to me. When my eyes first fell upon the buildings that once stood here, the plant had already been long abandoned. I day dreamed about visiting the site when I would pass by it, up until they began demo back in 03 (Backstory, these were years 6-12 for me soooo playing in a derelict cement factory would have been a GREAT* idea, minus the fact that I had no way of actually getting there without a vehicle/adult)
Last night when I was searching google maps for the perfect place to spent my day off, I re-stumbled upon this place. I haven't been back in this town in years so when I saw the main building being torn up, I had only assumed the worst for everything on the property. To see this stack still standing today, warms my heart a little.
