It's been a while since I posted anything, got myself a new job and started using my precious free time more sparingly. I've still been exploring but post processing and updating my website became low priority. Now the busy times are over at work so I'm going to try and catch up!

I found this building in Belgium by accident while traveling between locations. It's things like this that still give me the greatest kick; not knowing how to get in and what to expect. I fought my way through thick blackberry bushes from building to building, telling me that not many people have ventured there before.

While looking for a way in, a sign on the road side façade sparked my interest. It read that the school was used as a prison by the German Feldgendarmerie in World War 2. Hundreds of people were locked up in the basements before being deported to camps in Germany. We found several murals written in German proving the story to be true, although the actual basements were locked up pretty good. Probably for the better as the rest of the school had suffered some vandalism throughout the years.

The last thing I'd want to do is navigate through a thick patch of blackberry bushes then out again. Good on you!

I'm sure your great shots made that trekking worth it though

One day I got a good camera.

I found that Art Work of great interest...But, the school is most appealing too. Such a shame it was there that hundreds spent time in the basement cells before being transported to even a worse fate perhaps. Love Pic 4, 12 and 13.

Really cool find! That artwork is so interesting. I love #10 with those vines.

Fleeting, if hell exists the devil probably makes you walk through blackberry bushes to get there. It's so damn slow too, everytime you get stuck you can't just ram your way through, you have to untangle yourself without piercing your fingers. The joys of exploring

DescentOnARope and MisUnderstood, thanks!

EsseXploreR, thanks. Make sure to hit the Liège and Charleroi are if get there. You'll have a blastfurnace blast!
