I'm not quite sure if someone already has created a thread for this spot or not. But I'll further scroll the threads later and confirm. Then if there is not one already i'll create one. This is a pic of the place prior to its humungous portion of demolition. This is just a teaser! At the appropriate time i'll include a couple handfuls of pictures I took from it. By the way this one is within Oregon. Love you guys! Heart Heart. I am out to go pick up some Prozac from Safeway!

Hopefully not to revealing snippets, from one of the few remaining awesome places to explore close to Portland Oregon.

Once this place either gets destroyed by someone else exploiting it, or it gets torn down, or re-purposed I will control myself and hopefully others will and refrain from actually creating a thread for the place. Unless they can pull off doing so without giving away the location! .

Went back to the old mill yesterday with a cool explorer I recently met on the forums. We initially actually tried entering the place despite noticing snow tracks from a vehicle making rounds the place as security. We were inside when a vehicle made a round. I was spooked and essentially insisted we exit the place. We then proceeded to go take pictures from the road of the front and decided to why not go and see if we could get permission. A dude in a cowboy hat was kind and drove up to us near the front gate. We asked if it'd be chill if we took some pictures on the property and he permitted us to do so. As long as we remained on the outside of the structures till the snow melts. Also we learned that the place is scheduled to sadly be demolished beginning March 1st. So if any of you's here and around the PNW want more details about location ect.. feel free to message me directly. I am 100% in support of as many people possible getting there to take pictures and document the place prior to its demolition.

(cool double exposure taken via my new camera Fujifilm X100T) really fun camera to shoot with.
1.

(impromptu shot) really working on taking more pictures of the people I am with. People are beautiful as well as structures, as well as nature and so on...
2.

(that mill thing/massive industrial structure on the other side of the river)I really want to Kayak over to and take pictures of it! I have yet to find any pictures anybody has taken of the place. Honestly I'm not even sure if it is completely abandoned.

Hey nice work MrsRodger in finding that spot. I have yet to actually find it myself. I like both of the photos too. the one where he is trying to crawl into the hole or acting like he is, is pretty funny.

1.

Hmmm for some reason this last upload, loaded into UER upside down; but actually i'm quite pleased with how it looks. Would any of you's know why pictures on my desktop would be oriented correctly but when I go to transfer to UER they upload upsidedown?

Personally I don't understand his logic of offering to liberally hand out a location to anyone who asks but wishing to keep it discrete after it becomes a location of destructive mischief.

Explorers should keep places discrete to not promote further damaging activities out of respect to other explorers, location and their neighbors. Once the location is trash, that's when you relax a bit about giving out location.

I usually see rotation problems caused by the photo's EXIF data interfering. Deleting the EXIF then correcting the actual rotation in MSPaint or something is how I fix it.

So there are a lot of homeless people living in the foothill mountains near the closest "city", it gives them easy access to Seattle (the major city closeby) and they have a pretty tight community. I've followed them on the police blotter getting vacated from abandos, and about two (maybe more?) years ago I was in the public library bathroom when two junkies came in. During their conversation, I sat on my phone for a bit as I shat, slowly realizing these were two people who had just been kicked out of an abando I'd read about. Anyways, one mentioned that [redacted] new development had bulldozed a road past a water tower into a hilly forest in order to evict an encampment to prevent loss of real estate value. The cops had apparently rolled up, and having already warned the community outside of their lair, immediately evicted them.

There were a lot of new developments at the time, and I didnt have enough details to locate it. I thought it was a sad story though - lives uprooted living in total solitude, already cast out of society's eye, they were now being cast out of the blind vicinity too.

Walking to a hiking trail one day, I saw what might have been a truck pullout except there was a faint stair-like pattern to one side. I bushwhacked for a bit and found a hardly discernable bootpath, which I followed straight up the ravine. It appeared to be the remains of a huge hillside rave; bags of trash and cheap folding chairs next to discarded gloves. Then I came upon the cots; a tarp 30'long making a longhouse peeked through the trees. All deserted, covered in leaf litter. I knew what Id found, and followed the path to the top of the plateau/ravine. A bulldozed, overgrown and gravelly path greeted my eyes,
