The morning before last, winter weather disappeared for a short time here in southern Ontario. A hard rain overnight cleared all the snow and I decided to take advantage and get out for my last exploration of 2016 at this abandoned marine salvage. What would the Great Lakes area be without a few locations like this one? Here parts of ripped apart ocean-liners were dumped and stored. This location has been long visited by teens looking for a secluded getaway, with tagging and even arson evidence on site. But I have to thank them for an easy entry to the property, and ultimately for the opportunity to have the place all to myself for a good hour of very slow-moving, stress-free exploring. Overall, it was a rust-lover's dream!
