Abandoned Theme Park | Indonesia

In the mid 90s construction of the Taman Festival theme park began. Among others there is a film theatre, a fake volcano and a crocodile rock. The crocodiles are said to be still on the site. A perfectly camouflaged guy playing paintball in the main building told me not to get to close to the water pit covered with a rug of swamp plants... After completion and opening in 1997, the park already had to close its doors in 2000 due to financial problems as a result of the asian financial crisis. Since then the large park area decays and attracts graffiti artists and paintball players.
