My exploring partner followed my wife and I around the other day after the fallout, then gave me his camera card to process.

*I apologize for Flickr's horrible sharpening algorithm on the portrait shots. They don't do that on the large 2048x1365 size when clicked.

Thank's y'all. It's fun to see her drag her outfit out and add to it every once in a while. It's also much more fun to hang shots like these around the house instead of plain pretty, frozen in time wedding ones. I feel it symbolizes better some struggles and overcoming them together.

I had a lot of fun on the processing. A little HDR layer for detail, Photoshop for fixing and tweaking, Lightroom for the final filters, back to PS to finish. Thanks for the notice.

What a fun set! This brings back memories of mud-flinging set in your wedding gown and suit. You two are great.
I really like 'Scout' and the cool mess of 'Blending'.

Thanks!
Good memory Ground State

Location sidenote. So, after being threatened with arrest and vehicle and property seizure (it's Indian land) and being chased for an hour at night by Ford Raptor HID lights in the desert a couple trips ago, I usually hike in. It keeps my vehicle safe at least and it's easier to hide once on site.

So we park and hike through the desert. All's clear so we shoot. Later, some stupid kids drive in with 3 trucks, kicking up dust and driving all over. Still not a problem until they come park where we were and start throwing things, etc. Shortly after, I see a black and white rolling down the runway investigating the kicked up dirt. We start moving to hiding and I tell one of the kids the cops are coming (I had to tell him twice). So they jump in their trucks, peel out and actually drive at the cop dusting him as they pass. While that's happening and the view is blocked, I help my wife and friend into a hideaway and then hide myself. Still no problem. But my friend decided 5minutes was long enough of a wait and went out to check where he was promptly seen. It was all over after that. We were parked too far for him to leave us hiding (like he's done before) so we came out. The officer came around the corner, saw me, and stepped back exclaiming, "Woah, I didn't expect that!"
We chatted a bit, he was intrigued and kept looking us over and we talked about our shoots including the Salton mud volcano wedding shoot. He was really nice and let us know that others of his buddies wouldn't be so cool about the whole thing (I didn't mention I knew who he was talking about) and what the Indian land repercussions could be. We only lost maybe 45min of daylight so it wasn't a huge deal.
I constantly make fun of my friend for it. I think maybe if I hadn't helped the kids out by telling them the cops were here that could have saved us, but I know this bunch was stupid enough to just rat us out.

Officer smiles asked for our photo but asked me to not reveal his identity. We still couldn't break character

This set is too good, you need to stop lol. Great way to bring life to the normal lifeless abandonments normally photographed. Get to know those good cops and keep it up!
