On a swing through Connecticut I also dropped by the vanishing Little People Village. It appears that a new house is being built above the "trolley folly" and it could impact the site. Construction equipment sits feet away. Possibly a first and last visit. It's hard to resist a sit down in the "cursed" throne while imagining the tiny subjects of your kingdom.

Local urban legends say a man and his wife started to see fairy-like people who told them to build the small 2-3 foot high houses and other structures, including the throne. They of course went crazy and it became forgotten. The same urban legends say whoever sits in the throne will die within 7 years. The truth is more boring. This is just an old trolley line stop, a sort of garden attraction to amuse people while they waited for their ride. Sadly it's mostly destroyed and may soon be totally gone.
