The new twin highway bypassed this area nearly 20 years ago. On the banks of Grand Lake, likes this vacant property, across the road from a struggling campground. Like the traffic flow, the owners of this property moved on.

I visited last year in the winter, but returned a few nights ago to light it up.

1.

2. Notice how sunken and out-of-square the roof line is. The building was sinking in parts.

3. It's not barrel distortion (sorta) but the floor was bowed. In fact, the centre of the cafe floor was raised about a foot higher than the rest of the room.

4.

5.

6. Specials

7.

8.

9.

10.

11. Regrets

12. They key to room #10 was still in a cabinet. No idea which room was #10.

13. The Bartender didn't talk much... he didn't serve anything either. 1/5 stars. I imagine this place was a lot more fun back in the day. Seems to really have gone downhill with the new owner.

14.

Thanks for viewing! On an un-related note, here's a cow getting P0wN3d after the roper messed-up. He was disqualified.. so I guess both got P0wn3d.

Although silhouette light work is undeniably neat, but #14 is an excellent B&W image with a fantastic mood.

Great find there with the collection of hats!

As soon as I find a room with large enough filing cabinets, I would absolutely love to try and recreate that, haha

Nope, but someone has removed a bunch of them since last time I was there.

I'm so jealous of those of you who can make light people like that! My light painting doesn't go past a strobe usually, lol. Cool shots and narrative!

The cartoon physics of a grown man and large dog fitting in a cabinet drawer must be recreated as well!
You'll figure something out. Challenge mode: ON!
