Just gonna bitch for a minute. I live in a very rural area of Michigan, but it is also very close to a town with a huge college and casino. This results in high property value and not so many abandoned places. Even the farm land is owned and in use. You find an occasional "house" in the woods, or barn that's ready to fall on you, but that's it. Traveling isn't nessicarily an option at the moment. This sucks. I'm getting that itch and very antsy. My mind is stuck on this. Lol

Drive a car somewhere, if no car use public transit, if no public transit use a bike, of no bike use your feet, if no feet you may have a hard time exploring but an all terrain wheelchair may help

Sounds like you need to visit the huge college and find steam tunnels!

If there's a lot of development, construction sites can be fun. A little riskier than the typical abandonment but often just as poorly secured.

Turn off the internet and go play outside.

Hi, I'm a random guy who only posts on these boards about once a year. I'm also a former resident of a rural area in mid-michigan that is close to a town with a large college and a casino. It's been ten years since I lived there, but there used to be a place over on the northwest side of this town that always seemed promising if it closed, and I think it did.
