Another from my trip to the Poconos

I'd never heard of this place til I drove by one day and noticed it so I pulled over and did a little Google'ing. Turns out it's been around since the heyday of the Borsch Belt resorts. It went belly up like the rest and sat to rot for a long time, like the rest. I read that this one was bought by an individual who invested countless millions to reopen it as a resort but didn't last long once back in business. It's now owned by some sort of religious group I think.

I've never seen pics of the inside of this place so I figured I'd throw some up for the rest of you. These are just the lobby, I have probably a hundred more pics to go through. If you know the place there were three caretakers there the day I showed up and they were obviously aware that I was inside somewhere. I saw as much of the place as I wanted before they "apprehended" me. Mostly because I just didn't care anymore and was tired of avoiding them. They take their job very seriously. They informed me they were calling the police on me but I didn't hang around long enough to see if they came.

Nice, last I saw there were people working on the building. This is the one that got away for me. Maybe I'll try it again.

I once tried this place but some local guy stopped and asked if we were looking for the caretaker and used his first name like we knew him.

Looks like a lot of the covered up furniture is gone now.

This place is killer dude! Gonna have to try for this one on our return trip down there next year. I have a few other spots in mind as well, so should be able to make a weekend out of it.

Great set, jesus I'm full of envy.

But hey everyone else, airbnb has some real cheap places to stay for a weekend, usually within ~15 minutes of at least one location.

I'll agree that the will to travel certain distances is subjective. Thanks for the input

This isn't the Poconos, this is the Catskills.

Good point.
I started out in the Poconos though, not really sure how I ended up where I did but that's half the fun of it !!
