Lost track of time here. After 6 hours, my energy drink was completely out of my system. This place will be re-visited. I just can't get enough.

1. Every time I do any night work, this chump keeps showing up.

Your night shots are incredible. How did you learn such techniques? I am guessing in the last pic that was a passing car? How is everything so clear? So many questions. I am impressed.

Thanks For me, it's been almost 9 years of photography, practicing light painting and low-light work. (Mostly self-taught, but was inspired by UER!) The shots you see are clear because I use a very stable tripod, cable release and manually focus each photograph using very bright light sources and live-view. Long exposures bring out the details in the sky and portable lights, like flashes and flashlights provide the subject lighting.

It takes a lot of experimentation and patience to learn the balance between ambient and artificial lighting. I'm a perfectionist in the worst way. The photos in this session took me almost 6 hours.
