I'm the one looking while nobody is looking.

| | | Many moons ago, during the younger, dumber times of life, a friend and I had the great idea to access a very easy low-risk site by walking over a train bridge. Active train bridge. Well, CSX has all kinds of cameras and alarms and stuff on there, and it just happened that our time of ill-advised crossing corresponded with a CSX cop guy happening to be close enough to respond to it. So he grabs us, and goes all supercop on us. Despite being completely polite he was a total dick. We were only there to take photos, but probably looked more like the graffiti kid hooligan type to him. He insisted we sign a thing saying we wouldn't do it again, called the real cops, and wrote us a ticket. The real cops came and were vaguely amused at the whole thing, didn't give half a fuck. The ticket is great, the carbon-copy form is mis-spelled, "RAILFOAD POLICE". So I guess we can't go back to the railfoad. Anyhow, it was a moronic approach. Have wised up much since then. 110% ghost. Have always been a bit curious though, never researched it - are CSX police actual sworn officers? If not, I suppose we could have walked away despite his barking, I'd think... not that it'd be a good choice, but curious.

| It depends on the state. Some(all?) RR police have authority that extends over state lines... they are police. Best not to fuck with them More than likely his warning is genuine... this dog has a nasty bite. https://en.m.wikip...ki/Railroad_police
| Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in. |
