This was a find that turned out to be much more than I had expected. Initial scouting suggested that I'd find little more than a rotten shack and a few old vehicles, but once I found an opportunity to get my feet on the ground I was pleasantly surprised. Nestled in the woods near the US border are 20-30 vintage automobiles ranging from the mid 60s to late 90s, some of them quite unique, and many of them in unusually good condition with the engine still intact, yet clearly neglected by the past (or current) owner, left to rust away in the weeds. I come across abandoned vehicles in the woods quite often but to find a classic Mustang and Corvette a stones throw from each other like this is very rare. It appears to be a personal junkyard, tucked away on the far edge of a remote acreage, which isn't uncommon out here, but the level of overgrowth consuming each trail and the poor condition of the shop suggests that it is rarely used. A small padlock seals the door to the shack, preventing non-destructive access, so it is clear that somebody is still trying to keep at least a few things safe.
