Awesome School, Amazing Sunset

Over the weekend, my buddy and I went on a quest to find, explore and document old, abandoned school houses in Colorado's eastern plains. After 300 miles and a full day, we managed to hit up 6 such schools and access 4 of them. Our last school of the day had a little surprise in store for us. Though it was pretty emptied out, and is small place, the sunset that came upon us made for the most amazing finish to any photographic journey I've gone on to date.
Again, after much searching, I could find very little information on this building. This schoolhouse and the old church are all that remain of this little community.

Love, love love old prairie scenes. The east coast has too many trees! I like the field in #8. Really reminds me of home.

The more I explore the prairie, the more I fall in love with it. And yes the east coast does! I love trees and forests but love the wide open spaces too.
Thanks! #8 is one of my personal favorites from that trip.

Did you stay until the actual sunset? Because it looks like it would have been amazing.
