A gallery from an explore a few weeks ago. A gorgeous Jewish Temple, mostly untouched by vandals with very few markings behind the second level seating. It really didn't deter the experience for me. I enjoyed shooting this location and I hope you guys dig what I came away with!

This location has been abandoned for almost 10 years and can be "liked" on Facebook.

The congregation fell apart, there was massive lawsuit, the shul was sold to a Korean church who flipped it to a real estate developer and there it sits.

It was solid boarded up for a while. Good to see it's still standing and once again, accessible.

I'm curious if there are any of the contents, i.e. movable fixtures and books.

Sadly none of those contents still remained. I have seen those captures on the facebook page during my research. I had to make this a stop when I was in the area; it was fantastic.

I know the guy who created the Facebook page. He got the pics from me. If it's OK with you, could he use some of your pics?

The idea was to gather memories of the place from people that belonged to the shul when it was still open. There are a few comments about people going there for Bar Mitzvahs.

That place is out-of-the-way enough that graffiti won't find it so easy and it still has a sort of lived-in look to it from the main road.

I always did this exploring stuff for fun and not so much for the photography aspect, so almost all of my pics are taken with a cell phone.

Here are a few that didn't make it to the Facebook page.

May want to remove the point of entry photos, per this site's guidelines. Other than that, this place looks amazing!

Yes, he absolutely can. Your shots are great; much more nostalgic with so much still left behind. I wonder who did the clean up?
