Hello, I haven't been here for a while. While 2015 brought several promotions, I've been laid off twice this year and much to my surprise being unemployed isn't as good as having a job. As a result I don't get the resources to shoot very often.

Below are the photos I've taken from late 2015 to date. I try to convey a narrative where although we're missing, society continues to exist and expand without us. While the structures we know today are crumbling, the structures that come tomorrow evolve into surreal monuments and contraptions. I've spent hours photoshopping all people and cars out of each photo to convey an automated world of society without life.

Beautiful job, son. You win the Internet tonight.

"Are you happy now with all the choices you've made?" "Are there times in life when you know you should've stayed?"
"Will you compromise and then realize the price is too much to pay?" "Winners and losers... which one will you be today?"

Very cool. I'm curious, do you know what the symbols in "Save Station" mean? Those look like something that has a story behind them.

Thanks, Ed. That means a lot since I've had so little to go off of for subject matter. Colorado is very different than back east, there's hardly anything in terms of exploring so I try to get more out of each shot.

Thanks! The shack from Wanderland is a two minute walk from my apartment so I just had to wait out the weather.

Thank you! I've taken more of a liking to black and white this year. Since there's no asylums and mostly newer houses here there's rarely eclectic or meaningful colors in Colorado exploring. Most of the photos look gawdy in color. I lucked out with that drain, funny how in a park with over 50 sculptures one of the five photos I took is something the other folks look away from.

Thanks! I really don't know what's with the markings. What's strange is that I ran my fingers over them and it seemed they were on the outside of the window between the glass and plywood, this makes me think they were there prior to abandonment. The house was on farmland with numerous shacks and work stations, one room even had dolphins and fish painted all over the walls. I wonder if it could have been some type of camp? It seemed to have an employment/rehabilitation vibe, maybe the symbols related to the origins of its purpose.

Hey good to see you back, nice stuff as usual. Best of luck in the west. btw, the Naval Prison is still pretty much unavailable to access, though they have tried to find a tenant but have called off that search.

Hey thanks, I'm surprised folks even remembered me. The west is lousy for urbex and...well, everything except pot honestly.

I still think of the naval prison pretty frequently, I remember when I was young and naive I used to brainstorm ways I could sneak in there but realistically that's just foolishness. Were I still in NH I think I'd be writing persistent letters for permission.

Apparently they give tours of the shipyard sometimes:

Also, some members of the press have gotten up close. Would love to see it someday.
