When I was in Maine I found a really nice little farm house. It was attached to a church and cemetary.I looked up the name of the most recently buried Reverend and found the name of the church. I found out the church most likely hadn't been I use since the 60s. I read that the Reverends daughter inherited the house. She lived to be 102 and died in 2010. This seemed about right in terms of how the house looked so I knew it was abandoned and I went for it. Her house was really nice. Most of the curtains were still up and aside from some slight decay there was almost no real damage inside and no vandalism. The church didn't have any points of entry but it was only one room and I got a pretty good view through the window. The houses former resident and pretty much her entire family are buried on the property which I personally feel is a bonus.

Very nice. One thing Maine has is a lot of abandoned houses. Reminds me of some other churches I've seen here. So much left inside the house too. It's amazing what people hold on to for the memories.

Thanks! I loved the vibe the house had. It matched the church in a way and the items that were left offered a lot of information on the woman who used to live there.
