This large old sanatorium stands derelict in a German spa town. Although it's wide-open, it's still amazingly intact.

AMAZING set! Those warm colors and the way the light comes in through the windows, it looks so cozy.

I don't know how you find these places. This is Wonderful! Every one of your photos are spectacular. You asked about 23 on your link & i am assuming it was used to clear lungs. They would put medication in the pot with hot water and let it simmer to a boil, and the person would inhale the hot steam on the other end. Used for Asthma, Bronchitis and other respiratory disorders.
The walking therapy pools were of particular interest along with the before mentioned colorful bathrooms. Smokin Set🔥

Thanks guys, glad you like it!

@MisUnderstood!
Wow, we've been pondering about it ever since our visit and you just got the answer ready I know the principle and we have even used it at home some times, but I've never seen such a device for it. Have you seen it somewhere before?

@Abandoned Apertures
It's a small autoclave for sterilizing medical tools.

I have seen pictures of these old school systems and i used something very similar at a Pulmonary specialist office i went to once with a bad case of Bronchitis. We called it smoking the peace-pipe A Nebulizer. Nowadays they have portable ones for kids with asthma...which you may be familiar with. But, the more i look at these I'm wondering if they were used here for humidifiers or vaporizers, and this was like a Steam Room.!?!
