Ruins of Stone- Abandoned Cement Factory

So I want to acknowledge in the start of this post that there are many photos of graffiti, and this because I am an artist and if I find a piece of graffiti I like I will take snapshots of them; this does NOT mean I condone graffiti artists to ruin beautifully decaying architectures with their work or that I partake in any of it that bullshit, though if it's already there when I take the shots I will appreciate "good" work; not stupid shit. Pardon my french, I'm very fluent.

Without further ado, onto my lovely world of wandering.

State: Pennsylvania
Location: Cement Factory

My darling boyfriend brought me to this absolutely gorgeous place that was an abandoned cement factory. We left rather late in the day though and it was nearing dark so I edited the photos the best I could with the lighting that I had when I took them. Both Pennsylvania shoots were taken with my iPhone, but now I do have an actual camera so it will enhance things for me. We didn't go into the actual cement factory because it was huge and I didn't want to go in there while it was almost dark and safety reasons,we were underprepared then, but we managed to explore the surrounding buildings on-sight.

NOTE: I'm a little resistant to post the outside image of the burnt building I want to display due to the reason of arson taking place 2 weeks prior to our visit. (P3nn Hi115 fire department posted images of the burning building- I added #s for a harder search) If you think I should take the images down, PLEASE let me KNOW! I would be more than happy to! Once again most forum photography posts won't be this long, I'm just adding extra info since I'm relatively still new here. Thank you and have a beautiful day!

When we got to this beautiful building I noticed that the entire entrance was charcoaled. I had to convince my boyfriend to enter the first floor because he was in fear of my safety, and I said if anything happened we would leave immediately. The moment you stepped into this place, you could SMELL the accelerant that was used to set this place on fire. Whoever the arsonist is I am thoroughly pissed off because they destroyed a perfectly gorgeous structure, and now I bet for future explorers it will be harder to visit since the authorities will have their eye on it more. I won't lie that the shots I grabbed from it are eerie, but that doesn't justify for what those people did. It also had a very satanic feeling to it, with graffiti symbols of the upsidedown pentagram, and certain images throughout the two buildings(yes I know it's a common stupid graffiti symbol, but the feeling of the place said otherwise).

Wuv the second site
When structures collapse, leaving immediately often isn't soon enough... be careful.

Thanks! I also really appreciate the warning. Since it was the second abandoned building I've ever been to in my life, I didn't know about UER, and I was so frustrated with the difficulty in finding locations to go I think I let my excitement get the better of me. Next time I'll either be more prepared, go with a more experienced Urbex, or avoid it altogether and stick to taking photos outside.

Thank you! I know, my heart melted (no pun intended) when I saw it because of the gorgeous architecture, but pissed that it was vandalized the way it was.
