East St. Louis...man...

I've been through there a few times and it's a remarkable place for abandoned buildings, but there is a reason they are all empty.

http://boredomther...-louis-ghost-town/

Part of me wants to explore some of these places, but a bigger part of me likes living.

And I know that there are bad areas everywhere and high crime rates in other cities (even rural locations...hello, meth labs in old farm houses), but I don't take many chances on those places with those well-known reputations. Maybe it's my loss and i'm missing something cool. Of course, I prefer not being murdered over pretty much every thing else...so...there's that.

A slaughterhouse?
That really gets the PETA people going

What's with the supervised bs?
It's a crime scene or it's not.
Abandoned means just that...

Kid dies at an explore here, they get 3 extra feet in height on a fence covering the entire property and add 20 hour security.

...But people torture and murder people in this abandoned facility in 2010 thats covered in blood and guts but its still there, completely unsupervised and easy to explore? Maybe this isn't surprising but cant say its typical that I see torture chambers just hanging around for people to check out.

Added: Just saw the post above this. Had no idea how abandoned everything there was... now I can see why no one would bother watching or demolishing that thing.

Buildings where you're circumventing security to get in are pretty unlikely to have anyone living in them. I mean... if they were, that's some bad security, and if you're worried about getting caught with weapons (depending on what the laws on those are around where you're exploring) it might be riskier to bring any. You're not going to have to fight a security guard if you get caught, just run.

Truly abandoned places without security, you never know what you'll find. There's no one actively keeping people out. You're also not likely to get caught in such a place, so the biggest risk isn't getting caught with weapons, it's needing them and getting caught without one. It's not just humans. The closest i've come to being attacked while exploring wasn't by i person, it was by a feral dog. I scared it off before it did, but it was being threatening. I had my bowie knife out, and if it had attacked it would have been a good thing i'd brought it, but kicking over an empty drum was all it took.

What doesn't make sense?

The first flaw in your logic that I can see is that sites with no security usually are guarded by the police. Security has no right to search you, whereas the police can if they think you have a weapon on you.

Don't forget the nosey neighbours, adjacent businesses, and other people who will call the police and have them turn up if they see someone suspicious hanging around.

People die constantly... no easy way, just some are better.

Human entrails? Get a grip... they pick up every bit of human remains they can find.
Blood or something brown/red, if blood is it human?
Jeeeesze.

He isn't crazy. He stirs it with his dick.

Edit: Dammit I commented before I got to the bottom. I'm kinda concerned we had the same thought pattern here frankly.
