I went on my first explore as a full member yesterday and got some pretty good shots. This place is pretty close to where I live, so I'll definitely be going back in the future when I have time to take better shots.

Wow I love #4! I'm a sucker for old windows and I love how there is so many of them and the way nature has broken through a few of the panes.

Thanks! I'm definitely a huge fan of abandonments with plants growing in them; I was more excited than I'd like to admit when I saw the state of the place.

Thanks! The leaves seem to be in groups of 5 or sometimes 4, so I don't believe it's poison ivy; it's supposed to have groups of 3.

Right you are Okapis! Leaves of Three, Let Them Be – Leaves of Five, Let Them Thrive!! That and Virginia Creeper grow abundantly in this places.

Great work! Love the overgrowth, that's definitely an amazing nuance of places like this. Don't have nearly as many of these in California as I'd like!

Yeah, I love the aesthetic of plants growing on and in buildings like that. I think this might become a place I just go to chill pretty often, especially since it's not far from where I live.

Great stuff! Looks like it may have been a old steel mill, or something similar. Judging by the roof, windows and shape of the building. Love all the plant growth in there! Any idea how long its been abandoned for?

No. The page in the database has been there since 2010, and apparently at least some of the area (there are multiple buildings) was built in the late 1800's, but I couldn't find a date for when the buildings closed down. They still use a lot of the area though, and part of that building even was sectioned off and is still being used, though not for its original purpose.
