These first ones are from Greystone Park Psychiatric Center during the beginning of demolition of the Kirkbride last year. Shot on Kodak Portra 160 with a Mamiya RZ67.

1.

2.

3.

4.

Next two are from my new camera, a Hasselblad 553ELX. These were shot on Fuji 160 NPS.

5.

6.

These two are from a couple of weeks ago up on a solo trip to some mines in Quebec, Canada. Taken with a Nikon D7000 with a 20 year old Nikon 70-210mm lens.

7.

8.

And these final ones are from earlier in the year. State Hospital in New England and at this weird place that I forgot what it was in Pennsylvania. Taken with a Nikon N80 on Kodak Tri-X 400.

9.

10.

11.

What exactly is 11 all about? Those are some pretty interesting structures.

Killer reflection in #6!! The mines look like a really cool place to explore and those towers in #11 are all kinds of badass!

These are amazing! To do this on film with no real-time feedback is amazing and a dying art that I'm jealous of. I never cared about photography until I got my first digital camera (well, had some fun with Advantix panoramas back in the day) because I could take the same picture 20 times with different settings/angles and not feel like I was flushing money down the toilet. To have the ability/courage/faith to do this on film is just amazing.

And I too wonder what the hell #11 is. Looks like some kind of kiln that has no business looking so interesting...but harkens back to a time when everything was created with some artistic flair and not just a cheapest/fastest/dullest mentality.

Wow, do I ever sound old....

Coplay Cement Company Kilns

(from Wikipedia)

"Coplay Cement Company Kilns, also known as the Saylor Park Industrial Museum, is an open-air historic site located at Coplay, Lehigh County, Pennsylvania. The nine kilns were built in 1892-1893, and used for the production of Portland cement. They are constructed of locally produced red brick, and are known as Schoefer vertical kilns. They were shut down in 1904. The Coplay Cement Company donated the kilns and surrounding land to Lehigh County in 1975, for a cement industry museum. It is operated as a partnership between the County of Lehigh, which owns and maintains the site, and the Lehigh County Historical Society, which provides educational services. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980."

these are just money

Kabbalah is an undramatic tradition that requires great patience and stability. One of the reasons for this tempo is that everyone has to mature his potential gradually and thoroughly at his natural pace. In this way his life's work unfolds at the right moment in his own and the cosmos's time.
