Completed in 1902, this apartment building was the largest in Cleveland at the time of its construction. There were 56 suites divided among four stories. It was built in seven sections (8 suites per section, 2 on each floor), each section separated by a fire wall. Each suite had a front living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a kitchen in the rear. At the time of its opening, apartments could be rented for $25 or $35. One section of suites was demolished in 2011. The rest has been slated for demolition for the better part of a decade but still stands.

3. The rear of the building has fared much worse than the front. There were once balconies and fire escapes back here but they have been removed.

4. The front living areas were pretty small and had bay windows that faced the street.

5. This vividly-painted bedroom cast a red glow down the hallway of its suite. It made me a little nervous until I figured out what it was.
