A branch of urban exploration concerned with clandestine access to archaeological or heritage sites, usually in the stages of excavation or renovation. Especially common in central Seoul where after abandoned buildings are removed, an archaeological survey is done of the spot.

After the archaeological team packed up their tools and went home for the night, the anarchaeologists arrived to have their own look around.
