Documentary, fiction, non-fiction, youtube video, whatever. I like Darkwoods 2, it's Finnish with English subtitles. The movie is also know as: Vilmark 2. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2664880/

If you can handle Korean action/horror/sci-fi/comedies, I recommend The Host, which was filmed in some scenes in one of the largest underground rivers in Seoul. It's a ritual that we go there every Christmas Day, and one of these days I'm hoping to bring a portable projector and screen the movie down there.

Vilmark 2 looks like the Finnish version of my suggestion:

Is this really urban exploration though? I mean it's a cool place but it's a bunch of people removing asbestos - not actually any means of exploration? Meh I guess it is since dude does that stuff with the stuff in that one room with the stuff in it... Okay Session 9 is acceptable.

I remember watching this years ago and could never remember what the movie was called... finally I'm at peace I think I'll rewatch it.

As Deuterium just mentioned, most of the great urbex-themed "movies" are documentaries. Anything besides that is usually some cheesy-ass horror film. However, there have been numerous 'found footage' genre films focusing specifically on the underground, or abandoned buildings, (probably about a dozen good ones). In terms of cult classics, I also recommend Session 9... It is by far one of my favorites and I even bought that one on DVD (which is rare these days)

I still have it on VHS. I bought it when Blockbuster was clearing out the VHS tapes for like $7 or something. I don't own it on DVD even, haha.

Yes! That is where I saw it. It's a shame it's going for like $70 now. Maybe Netflix will bring it back.

There's used copies on amazon for less than $20 but if you poke around the web a bit you can find places to stream it for free.

Never wasted my time with that movie ^ . But I can recommend (as others have) Session 9 and Urban Explorers: Into The Darkness

The Goonies.

I was twelve when it came out and it ruined all expectations for exploring. Do you know how many pirate ships or treasure cache's I've found over the years?

None.

Fucking zero.

Fuck you, Goonies.
