This was from my very first urbex adventure. This is the Florence Little Theatre. I've been here a few times. These photos are from my second visit because I didn't have a camera the first visit. The first time I was here, there was someone else sneaking around. I announced myself and heard the person run off. I believe they were scrappers hauling stuff off to be sold, because when I came back for these pictures, a lot of stuff was gone that was there before. For instance, the office had a nice desk in it and the backstage area had a vending machine. Outside, there was a large tractor trailer minus the cab that was full of props and other things. It was gone the second time. Anyway, this place has some interesting history which can be found here. The place has since been boarded completely up.

1. After entering the theatre, I first saw this record on the floor.

2. This flight of stairs was right next to where I entered. Let's see what's up there.

3. This is the control room for lighting and stage equipment.

4. Lots of CDs. Most were church related.

5. Some words and meaning scrawled on a notebook.

6. Some interesting comments by the coordinator on the wall here.

7. Looking down over the auditorium.

8. After heading down, I walked around the auditorium. There used to be lots of seats here.

9.

10. There's a lone chair and a hole in this back door.

11. Orchestra pit.

12. The stage.

13. A platform on the stage with some kind of padding on it.

14. The ropes for the curtains and props.

15. Some fake scenery backstage.

16. Strowed props and storage backstage.

17. Backstage storage.

18. Heading down a small flight of stairs to the restroom and office area.

19. Small office.

20. Larger office.

21.

22. Not sure what this room was for. Maybe cleaning up. There's a sink but it looks like an office.

23. This portrait was in one of the restrooms.

24. along with this fake bouquet and box.

25. and this notecard

26. Now in the ticket booth and concessions.

27. Looking around.

28. This is the main office behind the ticket booth/concessions

29.

30.

31. Heading back out the concessions area.

32. Heading downstairs.

33. Extra ropes on the floor.

34. A message about the storage space.

35. The storage space.

36.

37.

38. First room on the right.

39. Looks like a dressing room.

40.

41.

42. Some stairs leading under the stage.

43. Checking out what's under the stage.

44.

45.

46. Back out, this closet was on the right.

47. Heading into the hallway.

48. A lone Steelers chair. There's also something covering the vent.

49. On the right, there was this column and table.

50. and this basketball

51. Next to that was this storage closet.

52.

53. Heading down the hallway..

54. trash on the floor

55. Nice 3D mural

56. Next room has a tree mural in it

57. and a lone table

58. Next room is filled with trash

59. Small mural

60. The room across from that has a couple benches and junk on the floor.

61. It's a bigger room though. Probably used for dressing room and storage.

62. This church book was in there.

63. At the end of the hall there was this long bench and shelves.

64. and a fridge. Probably a kitchen/food area for the performers.

65. A wash area

66. and this storage/eating area

67. Back upstairs and in the lobby.

68. A tour of the lobby

69. Concession/ticket stand doors from the other side.

70.

71. Looking around the lobby

72.

73.

74. Down the lobby hall

75. Some blueprints handing on the wall. The current layout for the theatre.

76. The initial remodeling layout they had proposed.

77. This layout was later scrapped when they received a $10 million grant and moved to a new, larger, more efficient building elsewhere in town.

Take nothing but pictures.
Leave nothing but footprints.

You can just tell this was a nice place to be, I bet it feels that way even now.
