An Abandoned House

This house was my second urbex experience and was actually part of a duplex with an upstairs and downstairs. The upstairs was inaccessible unfortunately, but the bottom sustained a fair amount of damage. Here's some photos from my visit.

1.

The building was easy to enter. The living room is the first room I entered into.

2.

Bathroom is littered with rubble.

3.

4.

Heading down the hallway

5.

A room full of doors

6.

Small side hall

7.

Stairs leading down to a flooded basement.

8.

Window lattice from the inside.

9.

This window was barred from the inside.

10.

Another side hallway

11.

An empty bedroom

12.

Ceiling damage

13.

Another bedroom with a completely rotted out floor

14.

Looks to have been the kitchen but is completely caved in.

15.

Shelves in the kitchen.

16.

Heading down a couple destroyed stairs to the lower area.

17.

Long hallway and a foyer I'd assume or the laundry area.

18.

First side room with lots of shelves.

19.

Another room with a glass tabletop and some other odds and ends.

20.

Master bedroom has been completely deteriorated from a cave in and subsequent rain and weather.

21.

A spot in the corner where light is shining in.

22.

Heading out, I got a few pictures of windows from the outside.

23.

That lattice from earlier viewed from the outside.

24.

Why/how was the upstairs inaccessible?

It was part of a duplex, and the upstairs had bars over the doors and windows. There was a set of stairs on the outside however, which had rotted out and collapsed. So, aside from busting a lock which I don't do, there was no way into that part of the duplex.

Good stuff. Arches in hallways need to make a comeback.

The brick work here is great. I love the arches as well as the checkered floors! This reminds me of the houses in Detroit which were once owned by wealthy Ford factory workers. The brick houses there are quite something.

I've been on many explorations. I'm just posting my older photos first as I get them uploaded. I started exploring in April.
