I made a short day trip over to the nearby islands and slipped into the old radar base/battery and one of the two machine gun towers. I also found a few old rusting artifacts and buildings in the woods. Some of the graffiti murals in the side rooms were actually well done. Other than hobos camping in the swamp, it's mostly left alone by the swarming tourists we get in Maine this time of the year.

*Edit* I have much better photos of the towers and tunnels but due to the tags on the orientation of the pictures not reading correctly, they are all flipped on their sides, so I have removed them.
