I've been to some cool locations recently, but this one has them all beat. It was impressive in every regard. Size, architecture, decay, machinery, challenge - all exceeded our expectations. The approach route was tricky, and there was one particularly hairy moment, but it was overall a great outing. Quite an amazing way to cap off a ten-weekend exploring streak.

Cool set. Love that crazy slide thing--there's a couple of similar ones in mills down my way.

Cool set. Love that crazy slide thing--there's a couple of similar ones in mills down my way.

There were so many in this place. I was so tempted to ride one. The one in the first shot led down from a half-height enclosed walkway that we took from our entry point to the main part of the site. We had to crouch and walk along a conveyor belt that mostly filled the space. I thought it was bad enough when I started seeing wasps, but then I hear a hissing sound from the belt control room, which turned out to be two irate buzzard chicks. Come to find out that there was a much less dramatic full-height walkway between those two buildings.

Number 2 is my hands down favorite. Along with #14.

From the same room as #14. Credit to OP for pressing the shutter from my phone as I held the tripod up to the ceiling.
