Few days ago i went to check some abandoned schools in some villages. In total i found 4 closed/abandoned schools but only one was surely accessible. Yeah,i found an entrance to another one but i saw there god-knows-when installed sensors on facade.
This school was abandoned in 2009. It was very well preserved until 2015 when there was "big cleanup" - all the books/posters/animals in formaldehyde/computers were put away as trash in a container. There's a big beautiful catholic church next to school. Some sources on internet says sometimes priests and other big religious figures often visited school and lectured. Rumors are about, that in next 3 - 5 years school that lies in next village, will be closed, too. So it means that in a large area there won't be any school, kids have to go city school which is ~20 to 30 km away.

Uzvara,Bauskas nov. During Soviet times, Uzvara was a rich kolkhoz village and they had big future plans. Kolkhoz built huge high school in 1989 but nowadays only 1/3 of school building is used.
It also started to build hydro-power plant which was never completed because of collapse of Soviet Union. Nowadays fishermen enjoys that place because it's a quiet spot.
