I have been in a bit of a funk lately because of the job situation and have been spending more time watching daytime television than exploring. Yesterday, I decided to pull myself off the couch and get my ass back out for some 'splorin'. Grabbing my bag and Monkey Boy (my son), I jumped in the roadster and headed for Egypt! Texas that is. As far as exploring goes not a whole lot there but an incredibly historic town. I actually met the guy who owns most of the place and who's family originally settled the area back in the 1820's. The old homestead is still there along with the original train depot and slave quarters. Most of this stuff is all "touristy" but there was one spot that's not of the tourist map...
