When an old lady comes up to you and asks if you had come from Welland and you reply, no, yet she still asks if there are cops up ahead.... you know she's drunk and you know the day is somehow going to be a good one.
Driving around the Niagara region with a friend of mine who is new to hobby, we found this very interesting little bar. As we entered the establishment, The Dain City House Tavern, we heard live music from the back and that little old lady asked us about the cops. As we walked to the back chuckling, we realized that she was asking because she probably had too much, hopefully she got home safe.
After deciding that one beer each was quite enough of this lovely (not) place, we set off to find something to explore. And we arrived at EnergeX Tube. This is the latest news I could find, the place has sat idle for a little bit now.
http://www.welland...does-not-look-good This is quite a tricky spot. With onsite security who patrol the property and with lots of locked entry ways, combined with the open ground between the fence line and the building itself and it's a crap shoot. There are a few other buildings on the property but all within plain sight of the security shack and with two vehicles on site, I imagine one mans the booth, while the other patrols
Shame that the outlook is not too good for the workers, the industry in that area has been taking a hard hit.
And now, on to some shots!
Cheers,
Zen
