At the time of the German Democratic Republic hundreds of these so called “Tatra” trams were bought by the city - now some of them are waiting for their scrapping: around 18 decommissioned vehicles are rusting away on the area of this abandoned tram station. It is the final resting place. The city wants to replace all of the Tatras with more modern trams by 2020. Well… This will be the end of an important chapter in city history.
