Another adventure out to the abandoned tunnels above Donner Lake in the Tahoe area. Went out there with a friend to explore the graffiti in May, and we were pleasantly surprised to find that there was still plenty of snow and stormy weather to accompany us.
The pictures were fun to take, but I have to say...hearing the crack and boom of thunder reverberate through miles of abandoned railway tunnels was the coolest part.
Thanks for looking!
And a couple of bonus shots from the same trip that aren't totally about tunnels...:

Posted by Baldran Really like the shots you've been posting. The lighting in #3 in this set is superb!
Thanks Baldran! That place is incredible, and we were there at just the right time of day/year. It's neat in the summer, but there's nothing like exploring those tunnels in the snow!
