I saw some colored slabs in the distance and thought, "How did they get over there?". Curiosity led to determination and next thing you know I found concrete slabs and one slab had the name "Olive Ave" on it. I did some research and I cannot say where or what it used to be because the smallest clue will definitely give away this neat little area.

Does that slab look like it was dumped there? May be debris from public works projects around the city. It used to be very common to recycle broken concrete slabs, curbs, gutters, and foundations for rip rap erosion control along waterways, so maybe that was the dumping and holding area. Nowadays, most concrete is crushed up for fill and road beds.

So the slabs that are still upright used to support a house that was part of the ****** launch. The house was used for boaters to grab the tackle and speak with wild life gaming before heading out. At least that's what the local open space rangers told me. Just be careful because they will give trespassing tickets here because fishermen and other people have left trash. Hence why the area is off limits. I wish I could use my other photos but they would give the location away. These photos were the only ones that didn't drop clues on the location. Thank you for the feedback and nice to meet ya!

I appreciate your effort to keep places secret, even if it is only a few concrete pillars with graffiti on them. You're making better decisions than most new people to this region

@rescueme: keeping the location a secret is a critical part of this uer etiquette. I noticed many senior members dropping locations and I get confused on that but it's whatever. Thank you for the support. I want to contribute more photos but if I did I believe everyone will know where this documented location is.

@pepticulser: that's what I'm talking about lol.

Nice to meet the two of you!

I just wanted to toss my towel into this ring for a second and offer a perspective.

Wherever this location happens to be, do you suppose anybody no closer than, say, 100 miles to it is going to be that interested in heading out and destroying it? I mean, it's a pile of demolished concrete...

Whenever I read a thread about something interesting (i.e. 99% of pictures on this site) I want to know all about it. I'm not likely to be in a position to visit any of them so I can't go there for myself and investigate first hand.

This paranoia about revealing locations is a bit counter-intuitive to this site. Sure, yeah, some idiots out there lurk and look for places to vandalize or whatever, but those are the minority.

In this particular case, I don't think you have much to worry about in terms of vandalism. Do you think people are going to go rent jackhammers and demolish the concrete pillars because it's Sunday and they're bored?

Not calling anyone out here, just giving my perspective. For whatever that's worth.

@darendor: I understand what your saying about documenting locations. Let's say I did use the UER database and document explorations then yes I would definitely provide a more detailed history and credibility. The photos I'm posting have been under the UER radar. They haven't been posted and so the sensitivity about location is higher because as 2xplorations mentioned if I gave you too many clues, then everyone will start posting about their experience. The spots are out there!

@2xplorations: agreed!

I've yet to acquire Full Member status so I don't know anything about the UER database.

And what would be so bad about people posting about their experience at a site? Isn't that kinda what this place is about, sharing UrbEx stories? Or am I missing something?

Maybe I'm just not getting it.

The basic member UER database and map is on the left column. It's a good way to start

I've been there a couple times messing around, and I can safely say it was blown up like the other land within a couple miles of it. The city it's located in is infamous for paving new trails and whatnot. I just have not seen any progression in "Olive Ave" in forever.
