This has got to be one of the most beautiful farmhouses I've ever seen. A perfect fixer-upper for someone who has the time and money... Absolutely solid bones, and minimal damage as far as abandonment's go. Mainly aesthetic flaws. I'd buy it in a heartbeat if I had the money. It's also on 55 acres of property, so it's pretty private.. Essentially my dream house.

It's a pretty place Sad to see good houses go to waste. I find it offensive. So many of the young kids think new houses are 'better' because they're new. What ignorant fools they are.
Just when I thought I was out... they pulled me back in.

Old houses or old buildings it's the same. The owners of these places buy them to fix them up as a labor of love. I've yet to meet anyone actively doing a rehab or who has finished one that comes out ahead financially. People like this are just like most of us here. They have a love and respect for these places. No matter how badly damaged I hate seeing these old buildings get demolished and a part of me (the selfish part) doesn't like to see them fixed up, but of the two choices, I'm always glad that someone is willing to invest the time, effort and money in preservation.

Beautiful, indeed.
It's so hard to buy acreage with a house anymore. They're often split up, because most farmers don't want to or aren't able to restore the home, and even if they did/could, getting a loan for it is so hard. An agent once told me that he would sell a similar property to me if I sneaked in at night and burned the house down.
