As a military site/military comms geek, I was cursing thru most of this video because the explorers didn't bother to try to read some of the few remaining wording on various doors or panels!

But if the site is in Virginia, at least I know which one it probably is, and I used to hear it on High Frequency radio back in the day!

Again, *assuming* it's the one I suspect it was, it was built at a former WW-II era Naval Auxillary Air Field, and had a lot of antenna towers in the surrounding grounds, including some fairly tall LF towers.


I visited the site when it was still operational, and have a few photos (taken outside the gate) that I need to scan & post.
