Better hurry - Thread - Urban Exploration Resource

Was doing some research on property and came across a notice on this property being repositioned as a big industrial warehouse development. I figured they were keeping the buildings, or at least most, but have been told its all coming down.

When built it housed the US Headquarters for Johnson and Johnson. In early 2000 the company began announcing it was laying people off and by 2001 had completely moved out. In 2002, Highpointe Church purchased the 426,000 SF building and 107 acres of land. Gary Simmons was the pastor, brother in law to Joel Osteen. I guess the prosperity prayers weren't working to well as they lost it to foreclosure in 2012.

These are from driving thru the property. For those interested, there is a security car there and it moves locations but not sure if there is anyone truly there. My second trip I noticed what looked like a patrol car so I stayed pretty close to the car and didn't make any appearance of checking doors or anything much. As I came back around a building I saw him, constable, and drove over to talk to him. HE said he parks in the lot to do paperwork and eat lunch. He was extremely knowledgeable about real estate and things going on in the area as he was a retired code enforcement officer from Grand Prairie and got to know a ton of developers and people. Basically was in work clothes which had our construction company name on the shirt and as I went to hand him my card he said, "oh I saw the name your shirt, your good, already checked". We chatted for about 30 minutes about various buildings and things going on. HE did say the inside has been pretty scrapped out by people.

Power seems on, transformers are humming, lots of cameras but many seem to be disconnected. All I can say is if ya go, be careful!
