Posted by sleeperspirit I would like to see one of these in good shape and live able

I believe the one in ATX is set up as a museum. ...original blue prints and furniture and whatnot. I've not personally been, but from what I can tell online...it's whole and in good shape.
Posted by Dark_Aaron Couldn't imagine wanting to live in one though, I guess renovated it could be a cool idea but too small. |
SUPER tiny. They're setup like RVs...the only privacy is the bathroom. Not for me, but rad idea, nonetheless.
Posted by IronDavyFlint That ancient Jeep looks super abandoned! Can't believe anyone would leave one of those just sitting around! |
That's Betty White! It as her first Road Trip across the state...she stranded us in Dallas, but it was a good run. A 4 hour tow never killed anybody... -_-
Posted by HalloweenKev I'd love to have one in my backyard! lol

There's another close by, within 30 minutes, in someone's backyard. But, talking to the guy who runs a website dedicated to these houses...the owner isn't super friendly with weirdos wanting pictures of it. :/
Posted by Radical_Ed That's awesome! This link takes you a comprehensive website that details the location, history and in most cases, photos of every surviving Futuro House in the world. The one I saw and the one Tiff photographed are both on here. http://www.thefuturohouse.com/

Thank you, sir! ...and yessssss! I've been talking to the guy who runs that website (he wanted to put my photos on his site). He's a pretty nice guy, for sure.
Posted by Peptic Ulcer There's one of these out here in West Texas that I saw online but for the life of me I cant find it now.

There are only three 'documented' in Texas, which is strange as they were more popular over seas. They had to be contracted out to be built/flown (haha, clever. But, really...they were moved by helicopters) here, from what I understand. There's this one, one within a few minutes, and then the museum one in ATX.
Posted by MisUnderstood! Its gone now, but was quite the attraction at one time, and in later yrs, an abandonment near Disney World. Heres the link to see what it looked like. http://www.abandon...ome-of-the-future/

Whoa. SWEET. :o
Posted by Forgotten Beauty Photography That is cool, and I absolutely love the first shot there - color and framing are perfect!

Thanks! I looooooove color. You know me. Hahaha.
Posted by macgruder I love these houses, great shots of this one.

Thank you, sir! It's a pretty unassuming place, at first to me, but a few tweaks here and there...and I really like how they came out.
Whaaaat? Look at that! ...ha! That's neat. I've only ever seen this one. Hahaha. But, then...Texas is massive and these things are spread out to places I never go. :/
Thanks everyone for the kind and fun words!
