Quick stroll through the Budd a few weeks back. Actually found some (one) small area without graffiti.

I'm including some shots from St. Nicks mid (tediously slow) demolition a few months back.

Enough of that.

I don't think I have a thread on this yet... Saint Nicholas coal breaker has been in a strange limbo demolition for two years or so. Slow progress is putting mildly. I mean, I'm pretty sure all the building at Huber breaker came down in a matter of months. For whatever reason, they're taking their time.

If you've never seen it. There's really no better time than the present. It'll be gone one day. And then, all you'll have left are my crappy photos to look at. Not the same.

Oh shit, world famous boot room, there's like nothing left. Half the benches and almost no boots.

A little pic heavy.

One good thing about this stalled demo process is, there's a lot more light inside than before. That's something.

Thanks for taking a look see everyone. If any of you have more updated info on Nick, Let me know. Or would like to share your experiences and love for this great giant. THis is good a place as any.

Wow, I had no idea there was so much of St. Nick's still left. Crazy. And you're right--must be totally different shooting in there now. Makes me want to go back. Thanks for posting these.

Wow... Haven't seen any St. Nick's updates lately... they definitely are going slow. I didn't realize they pretty much stripped the coal chute instead of just knocking it down?
