Not getting around to exploring some places sooner, as some of them are now being renovated in my area, also only bringing an iPhone 4 as a camera to one of the most anticipated explores that I did last year. Whoops.

You know, I do have a regret, and now that it was more than 3 years ago I can admit it-- I regret not making a copy of the control key that was obtained for a certain facility's mastered padlock system. Most fun I have ever had exploring!

"See you guys, you never listen to me. I said there was gonna be trouble but you didn't listen to me. You guys are crazy. You know, you guys are self destructive. There's a funny farm and it has your names written all over it. But I'm gettin' out of here. I'm... I smell ice cream!"

Dude started telling us about some kids that were tagging it a few weeks ago and one of them somehow got too close to a transformer, or something along those lines, it blew and killed him. Poor kid, this stuff should be fun, not a death sentence.

I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often to people considering the state of some of these buildings, and it begs the question; why are the building owners allowed to keep the power on in these places if they're condemned, or why isn't the appropriate municipal department coming to shut it off if the owners literally abandoned the place? If they are near tearing down the building, were the contractors using the mains for power when they gutted the building?

I don't just have ONE regret. My biggest ones are as some of the others related... exploring so many cool places before the use of digital. Now, all i have are these crappy pics of places i went into more times than i can count.

Jeff Davis Veterans Hosp. Demoed

St. Therese Hosp. Demoed

The other regret is not living in the NE. So many places i would have loved to visit...so many people i would have liked to meet

The deaths of fellow UER members such as Dev, Nicksan, and Don Corleyone. Places come and go, but people are so much more than a static structure.

Not recording the time I had guns drawn on me by Oconomowoc sherrifs. Was able to talk them out of a misdemeanor down to a civil citation, by carefully wording my responses. They were actually really professional, much better than security guard "wannabe cops" that I've met.

Lost all of my pre-1998 35mm photos in a fire. 15 years of mine and ghost town pics just gone.

I have changed my personal exploring ethics code. From now on it will be: "Take only aimed shots, leave only hobo corpses." Copper scrappers, meth heads and homeless beware. The Jonsered cometh among you, bringing fear and dread.

Making a lighthearted post on these boards and then someone taking offense to it because, hey, tonal inflection and body language and all that doesn't come across online too well.

Sigh.

She apologized for snapping and clarified what she meant, no need to make a passive-aggressive post on another thread that has nothing to do with what you're saying.

Not getting into 5 years sooner than I did. My city used to have some great spots from old turn of the century industrial stuff to hospitals and asylums. Sadly by the time I got into exploring and photographing a few years back, most of them were long demoed or renovated. Now there are only a few good spots left in the city that taggers, druggies, and hobos flock to. Unless of course you want to explore abandoned residential houses in which case the city is full of them. But that really gets old after a while.

Well, that aforementioned court date is tomorrow morning, so I'm thinking you guys will probably get to hear all about it after my fate is determined. I bet y'all are on the edge of your seats! I know I am...

Everything will work out Dee, then you won't have this hanging over your head. It will be a relief.
