	I cast my vote for a big "it depends". If I'm at a super touristy site like Solvay Coke and Gas, I'll talk to them every time. If I'm at something high profile that I consider to be on the down low, I might watch from the shadows and decide the best course of action from there. If I'm somewhere with medium traffic and gang related activity, I'll probably just slip out.

Mostly unrelated, but yesterday, while approaching a site, a guy poked his head out and peered over the edge of the roof. In the end I just waved, but I was really hoping for him to start taunting us in a mock French accent.

	I would say it depends, if they look sketchy then I'll probably keep my distance or leave. But if it's someone who looks like a potential explorer/photographer I'll want to go up and say hi. I feel better having someone like-minded around plus I'll know their intentions so they won't be any potential trouble. I might even make a friend or a partner to explore with that way, who knows! 	I've seen others at places I've been. I say a quick "hi how are you", keep my pace and walk past them. Mostly because I'm anti-social and avoid talking to people at all costs. This is pretty much my policy for regular-world as well.

	Typically I'll approach after making sure they're not destructive ass hats. But I remember I was doing a portrait shoot, with a friend dressed up as a clown in a local abandonment. I remember her being very quiet and walking up to the window and just staring and finally just saying "Oh hello boys." They got the hell out of dodge real fast.
